I have been experimenting with various rendering programs, hoping to diversify my skillset and improve my work. I tried out Octane for Blender, free with an Nvidia GPU. Immediately I loved it. Lighting felt so much more realistic, especially on metallic and glossy surfaces. I hope to make the complete switch over the next few months, but in the meantime, I will post various renders showing my progress!
These angles are heavily inspired by Apple's official promotional images, and only serve as practice for me.
Here is a render I made 11 months ago of the AirPods Max versus the new one.
It is really interesting to see what I made 11 months ago when I was just learning how to 3D render. The render on the left is far cleaner, the light is simpler, and it has much more composure.
